REMEDIAL TECHNOLOGY FOCUS

UST/Petroleum Releases
Sites: Leaking gasoline
and oil can contaminate soil and groundwater. There are many
options to address releases of petroleum products to soil
and/or groundwater.
Asbestos Containing
Materials (ACMs): ACMs
range from pipe insulation to floor tile and can sometimes
present an imminent hazard, if the materials are in poor
condition. Our licensed inspectors can help you determine if
you have ACM and how to address it.
Lead Based Paint: If child occupied housing has lead based
paint, it should be assessed to confirm it does not present a
hazard. Our lead based paint inspectors have the experience to
inspect your facility or residence.
Natural
Attenuation: If
contaminants will naturally attenuate, costly and expensive
remediation is not always necessary.
Mold: Mold can
be found anywhere, at any time. Control of mold growth is
achieved through elimination and prevention of moisture
sources.
Soil Vapor Extraction
(SVE): SVE can be
used to cost-effectively clean volatile organics vapors from
soils. Costly excavation is avoided.
Pump and Treat: This technology is used to contol the speed of
contaminants when they have reached groundwater and nearby
water supplies need to be protected.
Capping: If
contaminants or waste are above the water table, capping can
be the most cost-effective remedial option.
Bioremediation: Microbes and nutrients can do their job at petroleum
release sites, breaking down contaminants to harmless
substances.
