UPDATED ASTM E 1527/E 1528
STANDARDS NOW IN EFFECT
ASTMs updates to Environmental
Site Assessment Standards are now in effect. Major changes
include:
Introduction of the
concept of business environmental risk;
Addition of
historical recognized environmental condition (HREC)
terminology;
Identification of
supporting documentation for Phase I reports;
Revised
Phase I formats to parallel the standard practice;
and
Guidance for the selection of a Phase I
environmental professional.
RT has been following the updated standards
since early this year. Previously completed Phase Is will
require updating, to include more supporting documentation for
future property resale.
