Hazardous Waste Permit Facility – Construction Enhancements
RT’s client has operated a hazardous waste treatment facility since the early 1990s in Pennsylvania. RT has been integral in obtaining the necessary permits for the various waste management units throughout the facility. Waste processing area improvements have included covering of exterior storage/storing area, replacement of the original waste processing bunker floors, replacement of the original tipping floor for in the waste processing building, and replacement of the HDPE lined stormwater management facility. Other enhancements to the waste processing building included installation of steel lining in waste mixing units. RT developed and implemented a partial closure strategy for a closed waste unit at the facility. RT has assisted in the renewal of the overall hazardous waste permit for the facility through several changes of ownership since the 1990s. Additionally, RT completes ongoing annual inspection services for waste processing units, stormwater management facilities and large hazardous waste storage tanks. RT continues to be an integral part of the client’s Environmental Engineering Team.
