Since the 1990s, RT has worked with the various clients in the hazardous waste industry in Pennsylvania to obtain interim permit status and move through the permitting process to obtain final hazardous waste storage and processing facilities. RT continues to work with two facilities in Northeastern Pennsylvania in obtaining permit modifications when necessary and to facilitate renewal of each of the facility’s hazardous waste permits. Permit modification may become necessary based on changed regulations, changes in the incoming waste material, regulatory requirements related to land disposal restrictions, etc. Close coordination with the facility operator is paramount to successfully navigating potential permit changes which may be needed. RT understanding of client needs related to waste management options and regulatory requirements helps to facilitate overall compliance for the operator.
