Permit Closure and Reporting

Waste management activities in Pennsylvania are subject to closure requirements as part of the issuance of the facility permits. RT’s client operated a waste processing facility under two different General Beneficial Use Permits which shut down operations in 2024. As part of the closure of the facility, RT was tasked to complete Engineering inspections to document the removal of all waste materials from the facility. RT’s client coordinated the removal activities and the cleaning of all process and storage vessels. RT’s Engineering staff completed closure certification inspections throughout the process. Upon the completion of the closure activities, PA DEP forms were completed to document the closure and terminate the General Beneficial Use Permits for the facility.
